Not a Hot-shot Kid Anymore...

So, for much of my professional life, I prided myself on my knowledge of emerging technologies & enjoyed feeling ahead of the curve.  After spending a few years in another field of academia, I am back in the archives (and museum), and I realize that I am woefully behind the curve.  Somehow, I missed the Web 2.0 boat!  Sure, I read articles & hear words being bandied about, but never considered how useful all of these things might be to a lone arranger toiling away with uninventoried collections, artifacts, and other fun stuff.  So, here I am on my maiden voyage -- I'm participating in '23 Things for Archivists' and have paddled the boat a few yards away from the shore.  Perhaps by the time I reach online surveys, I will feel as confident as a seasoned explorer.  For now, I'm just looking for my compass...

I look forward to finding my way.
